MY SISTA FRIEND
We've been friends since the days of the jherri curl
We dressed the same, we ran after boys
Life was simple
The STOMP, the SMURF, the PATTY DUKE
Those dances were popular when we were together
Your house was like mine and mine like yours
Friday nights at the movies, we caught a 'contact'
The guys swarmed around us and we knew we were cute
Through it all, we kept our composure
We'll always share a laugh when we remember "Mooka"
That poor baby, where is he now?!
Or the summer we spent riding mopeds
We was 'in luvv' and no one could tell us otherwise
Who would have imagined our high school years
Which were supposed to have been our very best
Would have caused the strongest strain on our friendship
Those years
Those years
were the worst of my existence
The days were filled with thoughts
of me not going on
The torment I faced of not having you there
We're all grown up now, both are mothers
My sista friend
My forever friend
Our paths have taken us in separate directions
Your goals, my goals
God brought me through
And now we tarry on with titles of "Auntie"
You are my sista
my friend
